November of this year marked the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. But at present there are still 41 walls dividing populations. These walls block human movement and are justified as a bulwark against illegal immigration, terrorism or human trafficking. But what if these walls could be opened for a moment? What would be the result if the prejudices they embody could be overcome?

Over the course of the next two months, the online documentary experience, Connected Walls, offers web visitors the possibility to virtually break down two North/South separation barriers: the US/Mexico border and the Spain/Morocco border.

This web experience will be communal and interactive. Every ten days, visitors to the website can vote on topics that will serve as points of departure for two local film crews, comprising filmmakers from both sides of the wall they will document. By allowing these artists to personally and journalistically document the borders that define their everyday life, Connected Walls hopes to reveal to a global audience the effect of these walls on the people they divide.

Connected Walls is an online documentary experience that explores the lives of communities divided by separation walls: at the USA/Mexico border and at the Morocco/Spain border.
